Introduced during our second year of The Art of Birthing, our cocktails and canvases immediately became one of the highlights of the series. This year will be no different as we take it to another level!
Cocktails and Canvases creates the ultimate paint and sip experience. This engaging experience will feature internationally known spoken word artists, a live DJ, and live musical performances from some of New Orleans’ own.
We will have THEE Jude Thegenus, also known as Papaloko, joining the vibe with us! A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Papaloko is an artist whose work is done through trance, the act of falling into a deep meditative state and then being possessed by a spirit whose purpose is to paint strokes of life onto canvas. His work experiences are in the field of education, illustration, graphic design, sign making and many other disciplines of the visual arts. Rich in natural passion, Papaloko brings a vivid awareness of man's closeness and attachment to the "Spirit World" through his art.
Virtual registrants will receive their party box with all supplies, including canvas, aprons, brushes, and of course a cocktail to sip! Whether registrants are virtually vibin’ or live and in person, we will create a powerful masterpiece!
